RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AMENDMENT OF CONTRACT WITH
ENGINEERING FIRM OF CORLETT, PROBST & BOYD, INC. FOR
ENGINEERING SERVICES RELATED TO CONSTRUCTION OF BELT
PRESS DEWATERING FACILITY AT THE RIVER ROAD WASTEWATER
TREATMENT PLANT
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has a contract with the
firm of Corlett, Probst & Boyd for engineering services related
to the design and installation of a Belt Filter Press Dewatering
Facility at the River Road Wastewater Treatment Plant;
WHEREAS, one aspect of the contract was a maximum of 650
hours of inspection services at a cost $35 . 00 per hour for a
total $22, 750 . 00 ;
WHEREAS, the construction of the facility is taking longer
than planned and will require approximately 100 additional hours
of inspection services to complete the project;
WHEREAS, the Staff has recommended that Council authorize
the additional 100 hours to insure continuity of inspection at
the Facility; and,
WHEREAS, the Council has examined a proposed amendment for
the purpose of increasing the number of inspection hours .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The proposed contract amendment for the purposes stated is
hereby approved to authorize an additional 100 hours of
inspection at a total additional cost of $3 , 500 . 00 . The City
Manager is authorized to execute the amendment for the City.
