RESOLUTION ACCEPTING FINAL REPORT OF THE
LIBRARY RELOCATION TASK FORCE AND
APPOINTING A CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE TO
FORMULATE A PLAN ON THE FINAL DESIGN OF
THE NEW LIBRARY AND METHODS OF FINANCING
WHEREAS, on April 2 , 1996, the Library Relocation Task Force
presented a final report recommending that the present Activities
Center be renovated for use as the main public library, and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to officially accept the
report from the committee and establish a process to review the
design for the facility and possible funding methods for the
renovation project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The final report of the Library Relocation Task Force is
hereby accepted and a City Council Committee will be established
to formulate a plan to be prepared within sixty days for design
and financing of the new library.
