A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN
AGREEMENT TO ENHANCE THE INTERMODAL TRANSPORTATION
SYSTEM BY PROVIDING THE NECESSARY MATCH TO FEDERAL AND
STATE MONEYS AS REQUIRED UNDER THE ISTEA OF 1991
ENHANCEMENT PROGRAM; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE
MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO
THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, The City desires to continue the construction of a hike and bike trail as defined in the
master park plan of the City; and
WHEREAS, Such continuation and construction of a hike and bike trail continues to be an
authorized project under the ISTEA of 1991 Enhancement program where such program provides 80
percent of the required cost where a local government participates in such program with an expenditure of
20 percent.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to execute an agreement providing a twenty (20)
percent match in the amount of$250,000 where the provision of such match is as required by the ISTEA
of 1991 for Enhancement projects.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at which this ordinance
was passed was open to the public as required by law.
