RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY TO LEASE A PORTION OF
WEEKS PARK TO JIMMY HOGGARD FOR OPERATION OF A CHILDREN'S
AMUSEMENT FACILITY .
WHEREAS, it is desirable to provide the community with
a children's amusement facility; and,
WHEREAS, such a facility is not privately available in
the community; and,
WHEREAS, bids for lease proposal of a portion of Weeks
Park were duly advertised and letters of invitation mailed;
and,
WHEREAS, Jimmy Hoggard of Big Spring, TX was the only
bidder and whose bid adequately meets all the City
requirements to indicate he will provide a successful
operation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a five
year lease of a portion of Weeks Park heretofore known as
Funland to Jimmy Hoggard.
