A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, APPROVING
VIC & JAMES DECORATING AS THE LOW
BIDDER TO PROVIDE PAINT FOR THE
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT'S
PAINT PROGRAM AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH
VIC & JAMES DECORATING FOR THIS PURPOSE;
FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE
MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS
PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, The City of Wichita Falls implemented a successful Paint Program in 1994 and
1995 and wishes to continue this program in 1996; and
WHEREAS, The Paint Program has favorably impacted the appearance of homeowner's
dwellings and neighborhoods within the City; and
WHEREAS, The Paint Program provides federal assistance through the Community
Development Block Grant to low to moderate income homeowners who otherwise would not have
resources to perform this task,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council accepts Vic&James Decorating as low bidder to provide
paint to implement the 1996 Paint Program, and authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract
with Vic& James Decorating for this purpose in the amount of$16,862.50.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at which this
resolution was passed was open to the public as required by-- w
