RESOLUTION REJECTING PROPOSALS FOR
A WIRING AND CONNECTIVITY SYSTEM
WHEREAS, Request for Proposals were distributed to qualified
computer network vendors for the installation of a wiring and
connectivity system, and
WHEREAS, the proposals were received on February 9, 1996,
and
WHEREAS, only two proposals were received and the prices
proposed were above project cost estimates, and
WHEREAS, subsequent inquiries to vendors and consultation
with the City's computer consultants identified areas where the
specifications should be revised in order to reduce the price and
improve vendor participation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Proposals received from Digital Equipment Corporation and
Network Engineering for installation of a wiring and connectivity
system are hereby rejected.
PASSED AND APPROVED this the 5th -d. of March .- 1996.
