RESOLUTION TO APPROVE ENGINEERING CONTRACT FOR
WATER LINE TO SERVE NEW MANUFACTURING SITE
WHEREAS, Fleetwood Homes of Texas intends to expand its local
manufacturing of mobile homes by building a new facility at the
intersection of SH Loop 240 (Eastside Drive) and Airport Drive;
WHEREAS, the City will extend a 12 -inch water line in order to
provide water for the manufacturing processes and for fire
suppression;
WHEREAS, Staff needs to proceed with the necessary engineering
for this project, and has proposed to engage the engineering firm of
Corlett, Probst and Boyd, Inc. for this purpose; and,
WHEREAS, Council has examined a proposed contract for the
engineering services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The engineering contract with the firm of Corlett, Probst and
Boyd, Inc. for a water line to serve the Fleetwood Homes manufacturing
site is hereby approved with a maximum engineering fee for base
engineering services of $12,000. The City Manager is authorized to
execute the contract for the City of Wichita Falls.
