RESOLUTION NO.
RESOLUTION TO APPROVE CHANGE ORDER 1 FOR SOUTHWEST
LIFT STATION AND FORCE MAIN PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has a contract with Jalyn
Construction Company for the construction of the Southwest Lift
Station and Force Main Project;
WHEREAS, due to the annual fee imposed by Burlington Northern
Railroad for crossing their railroad right-of-way, the City desires to
relocate the force main to an adjacent property;
WHEREAS, the relocation causes some additional work for the
Contractor with a net value of $40,020;
WHEREAS, unrelated to the relocated sewer line, the State is
requiring the City to plant grass seed within the State right-of-way
affected by this project, at a cost of $3,100; and,
WHEREAS, the Council has examined a proposed Change Order in the
amount of $43,120 for the relocated sewer line and seeding of State
right-of-way.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Change Order Number 1 for the Southwest Lift Station and Force
Main Project is hereby approved in the net amount of $43,120,
increasing the contract price from $1,254,651 to $1,297,771 and
increasing the contract time by S calendar days. The City Manager is
authorized to sign Change Order Number 1 for the City of Wichita
Falls.
