RESOLUTION TO APPROVE CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 FOR
SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT COLLECTION SYSTEM
REPLACEMENT PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has a contract with PM
Construction Company for a project to replace a number of sewer
lines throughout the City by a process known as pipe bursting;
WHEREAS, there is an area of the City sanitary sewer
collection system that is creating a public health nuisance for a
neighborhood, and the problem requires the immediate attention of
the City;
WHEREAS, the restriction in the City collection system has
been evaluated by a local engineer who has recommended an
upgrading of the system by pipe bursting;
WHEREAS, the City desires to remedy the situation and to add
the additional work to the existing contract with PM Construction
Company; and,
WHEREAS, the Council has examined Chanqe Order No. 1 for
this purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Change Order No. 1 for the Phase I Sanitary Sewer
Improvement Collection System Replacement Project is hereby
approved in the amount of $142,775, increasing the contract
amount from $969,545 to a new contract total of $1,112,320. The
City Manager is authorized to execute the Change Order for the
City of Wichita Falls.
