RESOLUTION APPROVING THE AMENDMENT OF THE PROPOSED
USE OF FUNDS IN A PREVIOUSLY APPROVED CONSOLIDATED
PLAN, FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT
WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE
PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls City Council has conducted a Public Hearing on
amending the Consolidated Plan by reallocating the proposed use of funds under that plan;
and-,
WHEREAS, the staff has requested the City Council to cancel previously approved
activities and reallocate those funds and other unprogrammed funds.
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the request for funding from Continental
Housing Corporation, Vocational Enrichment Center, and a staff request for additional
positions funding.
WHEREAS, the City Council has taken public comments given at the public hearing
into consideration and approves the amendment to the Consolidated Plan and reallocates
the Proposed Use of Funds as follows:
Continental Housing is funded at $586,000 and CBDG related positions are funded at $ 11,
730. Vocational Enrichment Center is not funded at this time, but will be considered during
the regular allocation of CDBG Funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to submit the amendment of the
Consolidated Plan to HUD showing the revised proposed use of funds under the Community
Development Block Grant and HOME programs.
SECTION 2. The City Manager is authorized to execute any and all contracts and
agreements needed to implement the approved activities at the funding levels stated above.
SECTION 3. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at which
this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
