RESOLUTION TO APPROVE FOURTH AMENDMENT TO
WATER PURCHASE CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS AND THE WICHITA VALLEY WATER SUPPLY
CORPORATION
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls and the Wichita Valley Water Supply Corporation
entered into a Water Purchase Contract dated August 6, 1991 to define the terms and
conditions for sale of raw water by the City to the Corporation for treatment and resale to
Corporation customers;
WHEREAS, the City and Corporation previously have agreed to three amendments to
the original contract, and now desire to execute a fourth amendment whereby the City will be
authorized to serve water to an area currently in the certificated area of the Corporation;
WHEREAS, the proposed amendment also facilitates administration by consolidating
lease agreements and property descriptions into a single document; and,
WHEREAS, the Council has examined the proposed fourth amendment to the Water
Purchase Contract.
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The Fourth Amendment to the Water Purchase Contract between the City of Wichita
Falls and Wichita Valley Water Supply Corporation is hereby approved, and the City Manager
is authorized to sign the amendment for the City
