RESOLUTION APPROVING THE AMENDMENT OF THE PROPOSED USE
OF FUNDS IN A PREVIOUSLY APPROVED CONSOLIDATED PLAN,
ALLOCATING FUNDING TO A NEW PROJECT, FINDING AND
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS
PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, there is a need to develop affordable housing for lower income families
in the City.
WHEREAS, any changes or amendments to the Consolidated Plan must be
approved during a public meeting.
WHEREAS, the City Council has been requested to provide $5,000 in funding for
Housing Development Initiatives, including a feasibility study to develop that needed low
income housing
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to submit the amendment of the
Consolidated Plan to HUD showing the revised proposed use of funds under the
Community Development Block Grant and HOME programs.
SECTION 2. The City Manager is authorized to sign any agreements or contracts
to secure any services in connection with this activity.
SECTION 3. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at which
this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
