RESOLUTION APPROVING THE AMENDMENT OF THE PROPOSED USE OF
FUNDS IN A PREVIOUSLY APPROVED CONSOLIDATED PLAN,
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO AMEND THE CURRENT
CONTRACT, FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT
WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
WHEREAS, the bids for the renovations of the East Branch YMCA did not have
provisions for roof replacement in the original specifications.
WHEREAS, the City Council has been requested to correct this oversight by
increasing the existing contract by $53,000 to protect the approved renovations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to submit the amendment of the
Consolidated Plan to HUD showing the revised proposed use of funds under the
Community Development Block Grant and HOME programs.
SECTION 2. The City Manager is authorized to amend the existing contract and to
add a technical amendment requiring repayment of CDBG funds if the agency sells the
property within a ten year period.
SECTION 3. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at which
this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
