A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS; CONSENTING TO THE MERGER OF
THE HELEN FARABEE CENTER AND THE ROLLING PLAINS
STATE OPERATED COMMUNITY SERVICES; AUTHORIZING
THE MAYOR TO VOTE IN FAVOR OF SAID MERGER; FINDING
AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has received a request from the Helen
Farabee Center that consent to the merger of the Helen Farabee Center and the
Rolling Plains State Operated Community Services; and,
WHEREAS, the merger of these two entities will increase cost efficiency in
providing care to the citizens of the City of Wichita Falls and Wichita County,
Texas; and,
WHEREAS, said proposed merger will also benefit the clients of both
entities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. All of the above preambles and recitals are found to be true
and correct.
SECTION 2. The City Council of the City of Wichita Falls hereby consents
to the proposed merger of the Helen Farabee Center and the Rolling Plains State
Operated Community Services, and authorizes the Mayor to vote in favor of such
merger.
SECTION 3. It is hereby found and determined that the meeting at which
this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
