RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT THE JASPER STREET WATER
PLANT FILTER BUILDING STRUCTURAL PROJECT AND
AUTHORIZE FINAL PAYMENT TO GIBSON AND ASSOCIATES,
INC.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls entered a lump sum contract with Gibson and
Associates, Inc. with the total cost of $248,300;
WHEREAS, the actual work was completed at a total cost of $248,300 of which
$243,334 has been previously paid to the contractor, leaving an amount due of $4,966;
WHEREAS, the Contractor is assessed 5 days liquidated damages at $240 per day, a
total of $1,200, leaving a final payment of $3,766; and,
WHEREAS, the City staff has inspected the work and found it to be acceptable.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The Jasper Street Water Plant Filter Building Structural Project is hereby accepted, and
the City Manager is authorized to make final payment of $3,766 to the contractor.
