RESOLUTION TO APPROVE ENGINEERING CONTRACT
WITH BIGGS &: MATHEWS, INC. FOR PRELIMINARY
STUDY ON INFORMATION COLLECTION RULE
COMPLIANCE PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls is required by Federal
law to comply with a water monitoring and treatment study known
as the Information Collection Rule;
WHEREAS, one requirement of the rule is to conduct a water
treatment study and to report to EPA in November, 1997,
concerning selected parameters for the study;
WHEREAS, the technical parameters to be reported must be
accomplished by knowledgeable persons;
WHEREAS, the staff has recommended we engage the engineering
firm Biggs & Mathews, Inc. for the engineering services related
to this preliminary analysis; and,
WHEREAS, the Council has examined a proposed contract for
the purposes stated.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The engineering contract with the firm of Biggs & Mathews,
Inc. for the preliminary analysis required for the Information
Collection Rule Compliance Project is hereby approved with a
maximum payment amount of $15,000. The City Manager is authorized
to execute the contract for the City of Wichita Falls.
