WHEREAS, the Texas Natural Resource Conservation Commission has imposed new
effluent standards on the Northside Wastewater Treatment Plant, causing a requirement for
modification of the plant to meet the effluent standards;
WHEREAS, a Preliminary Engineering Report has identified the modifications
necessary to meet the effluent standards; and,
WHEREAS, the Staff has proposed that the City engage the engineering firm of Corlett,
Probst and Boyd, Inc. for the engineering services necessary to design the modifications at
the Northside Wastewater Treatment Plant and some minor related-type work at the River
Road Wastewater Treatment Plant.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The contract with the engineering firm of Corlett, Probst and Boyd, Inc. for the purposes
stated is hereby approved with a maximum base fee of $62,450 for the base engineering
services. The City Manager is authorized to execute the contract for the City.
