RESOLUTION TO AWARD BID AND CONTRACT FOR
JASPER PLANT #4 HIGH SERVICE PUMP MOTOR
STARTER RETROFIT PROJECT TO SHERMCO
INDUSTRIES
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has advertised for bids for the construction
of the Jasper Plant #4 High Service Pump Motor Starter Retrofit Project; and,
WHEREAS, it is found that the lowest bidder, Jack Peirce Electric Company,
does not meet the project specifications in terms of specialized experience; and,.
WHEREAS, the next low bidder who does meet specifications is Shermco
Industries who made a lump sum bid with a total of $62,530.67.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Said lump sum bid of Shermco Industries, with a total of $62,530.67 is hereby
accepted, and the City Manager is authorized to execute a contract for the City with
said Contractor for the construction of such project.
