A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL TO PARTICIPATE IN THE
PROCESS TO SECURE LOCAL HISTORIC DESIGNATION OF THE
KEMP PUBLIC LIBRARY; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE
MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN
TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls is the owner of the Kemp Public Library,
including land and improvements identified as all of Block 215, Original Townsite; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to participate in an application for local
historic designation; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that such designation would be in
the public interest.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The Landmark Commission is authorized to process and submit an
application for local historic designation of the Kemp Public Library.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
