RESOLUTION APPROVING CONTRACT WITH BIGGS & MATHEWS,
INC. FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF A GROUND WATER
MONITORING /SAMPLING PROGRAM FOR THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS SANITARY LANDFILL (PERMIT #1428)
WHEREAS, Part 258.51 of 40 CFR requires that a ground water monitoring
system be installed at Type I Sanitary Landfills; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls Type 1 Sanitary Landfill has unique
geological conditions that would suggest a modified ground water monitoring program;
and,
WHEREAS, the Texas Natural Resource Conservation Commission has
tentatively agreed with this modified ground water monitoring program in concept; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls wishes to retain the engineering firm of
Biggs & Mathews, Inc. for the development of the Ground Water Monitoring /Sampling
Plan program which will meet the requirements of the Texas Natural Resource
Conservation Commission.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The contract between Biggs & Mathews, Inc. for development of the Ground
Water Monitoring /Sampling Program for the Wichita Falls Type 1 Sanitary Landfill
(Permit #1428) is hereby approved at a cost of $65,530.00.
