A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE
AN AGREEMENT WITH JERUSALEM COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
CORPORATION FOR THE RESOLUTION OF A FEDERAL HOME
PROGRAM GRANT FROM THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND
URBAN DEVELOPMENT; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE
MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN
TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls ( "City ") was awarded a HOME program
grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development ( "HUD ") as "set
aside" for a Community Housing Development Organization ( "CHDO "); and
WHEREAS, Jerusalem Community Development Corporation ( "JCDC ") received
funding as a CHDO to acquire seven homes to be rehabilitated and sold; and
WHEREAS, the City wishes to cancel the program by repayment of funds to
HUD and complete other program obligations; and
WHEREAS, the management and disposition of the six remaining homes
requires an agreed process for property management.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Manager shall be authorized to execute an agreement
with the Jerusalem Community Development Corporation, hereto attached as "Exhibit
„A„
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
