AN ORDINANCE CLOSING, VACATING, AND ABANDONING A
UTILITY EASEMENT IN LOT 1, BLOCK 6, SIKES ESTATES,
SECTION G-5, WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS
WHEREAS, the Planning & Zoning Commission has recommended the
closure of a 7. 5 feet wide utility easement in Lot 1, Blk 6, Sikes
Estates, Section G-5, Wichita Falls, Texas; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas
deems it advisable and in the public interest to close the easement
hereafter described.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1.
A 7. 5 foot wide utility easement located in Lot 1, Block 6,
Sikes Estates Section G-5, an addition to the City of Wichita
Falls, Wichita County, Texas, said easement to be abandoned to
be more specifically described by metes and bounds as follows;
said easement to be closed lies 7.5 feet to the west and north
of the following described line:
Beginning at the most westerly southeast corner of the above
mentioned Lot 1, Block 6, said corner lies in the north right-
of-way line of Taft Boulevard;
Thence North 02° 16' 01" East along the most westerly east
line of said Lot 1 a distance of 557.43 feet to a point;
Thence South 80° 05 ' 30" East along the most northerly south
line of said Lot 1 a distance of 67 . 0 feet to the proposed
future inner corner of Lot 1-A presently in the process of
being replatted;
is hereby closed, vacated, and abandoned.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall become effective upon the
filing of a final plat of Lot 1-A, Block 6, Sikes states, Section
G-5, with the Wichita County Clerk within one ( ) year from the
date of passage of this ordinanc-
