Ordinance No. 62-87
AN ORDINANCE CLOSING, VACATING, AND ABANDONING PORTIONS
OF CERTAIN UNNAMED STREETS IN BLOCKS 206 TO 211 AND 227
TO 238, HIGHLAND ADDITION, WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS
WHEREAS, certain streets in Blocks 206 to 211 and 227 to 238
Highland Addition, dedicated as per plat recorded in Volume 1,
Page 23 , W.C.P.R. , have not been constructed and are no longer
required; and,
WHEREAS, the Planning & Zoning Commission has recommended
closure of the above described unnamed streets; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls,
Texas deems it advisable and in the public interest to close the
streets hereafter described.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
All those certain unnamed and dedicated streets lying west
of Lawrence Road, being 60-foot in width per plat recorded
in Volume 1, Page 23 , W.C.P.R. , running in an east-west and
north-south direction lying within the boundary survey of
Parcels "A-1" , "B-1" , and "C-1" , prepared by Biggs &
Mathews, Inc. and dated January 30, 1987, attached hereto
and marked Exhibit "A" , which were dedicated by the Highland
Addition Plat and are located within the revised preliminary
plat boundary of Lots 1 and 2, Block 9, Burlington-Callfield
Industrial District, a replat of portions of Blocks 206 to
211 and 227 to 238, Highland Addition, Wichita Falls, Texas,
as shown by attached Exhibit and field notes;
be and the same are hereby closed, vacated, and aband.ned.
