ORDINANCE MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FROM THE
GENERAL FUND FOR THE PURPOSE OF MATERIALS,
SERVICES AND CONSTRUCTION AT THE FOUR-FIELD
SOFTBALL COMPLEX.
WHEREAS, it is necessary to appropriate funds for
additional dirt work at the four-field softball complex, and
for necessary materials, services and work which will be
utilized by the City in the completion of this complex.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
There is hereby appropriated from the General Fund the
amount of $40,000 to be placed in Account No. 11-451-4391
for the purpose of continuing construction on the four-field
softball complex. A grave public necessity exists, and this
is an emergency expenditure to meet unusual and unforeseen
conditions which could not, by reasonable, diligent thought
and attention, have been included in the 1986-87 budget.
Further, the fact that these funds will be due and that they
are essential for the immediate use of the City in order
that different contractors on the job may continue in an
orderly fashion, creates an emergency; therefore, this
ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its
passage.
