ORDINANCE NO.
ORDINANCE WAIVING SECTION 22-1(a) ( 2) OF
THE CODE OF ORDINANCES TO ALLOW PARKING
ON GRASS AT JAYCEE PARK DURING THE RED
RIVER CHILI CHAMPIONSHIP ON SEPTEMBER 18,
19, AND 20, 1987.
WHEREAS, the Jaycees are sponsoring the 1987 Red River
Chili Championship in Jaycee Park on September 18, 19 and
20, 1987, and they have requested that the City Council
waive Section 22-1(a) ( 2) of the Code of Ordinances to allow
parking on the grass during this event; and,
WHEREAS, it appears that the circumstances involved in
this request are exceptional and that such waiver should be
granted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Section 22-1(a) ( 2) of the Code of Ordinances is hereby
waived to allow parking on the grass at Jaycee Park during
the 1987 Red River Chili Championship on September 18, 19,
and 20, 1987.
