RESOLUTION TO APPROVE CONTRACT WITH ENGINEERING FIRM
OF CORLETT, PROBST & BOYD, INC. FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES
RELATED TO UTILITY ADJUSTMENTS FOR INTERSTATE HIGHWAY
44 OVERHEAD EXPRESSWAY PROJECT.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls is required to relocate selected, designated
water, sewer and city telephone utilities to facilitate the construction of the Interstate
Highway 44 overhead expressway;
WHEREAS, the relocation work will be incorporated into the construction
contract documents of the Texas Department of Transportation for the overhead
project;
WHEREAS, it is necessary to engage a consulting engineering firm to perform
the engineering services related to the utility relocations;
WHEREAS, staff has recommended a contract with the engineering firm of
Corlett, Probst & Boyd, Inc. for this purpose; and, whereas, the council has examined
the proposed contract.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The proposed contract with Corlett, Probst & Boyd, Inc. for engineering services
related to utility adjustments for the IH -44 overhead expressway is hereby approved.
The fee for the contractor is to be determined as stated in the contract, and council
hereby authorizes an expenditure of up to $15,000 for the stated services.
