RESOLUTION TO APPROVE A CONTRACT WITH TEXAS UTILITIES
ELECTRIC COMPANY FOR RELOCATION AND ADJUSTMENTS TO
TRANSMISSION AND DISTRIBUTION LINES AFFECTED BY THE
PLUM CREEK FLOOD CONTROL PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls is required to adjust and /or relocate utilities
to facilitate the construction of the Plum Creek Flood Protection Project;
WHEREAS, the relocation and /or adjustment work will be performed by Texas
Utilities Electric Company personnel and contractors;
WHEREAS, the City shall pay Texas Utilities Electric Company for its cost
incurred that shall not exceed $260,000;
WHEREAS, staff has reviewed and is recommending the contract with Texas
Utilities Electric Company for this purpose; and,
WHEREAS, the Council has examined the proposed contract.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The proposed contract with Texas Utilities Electric Company for utilities
adjustments to facilitate the construction of the Plum Creek Flood Protection Project is
hereby approved. The cost incurred is to be determined as stated in the contract, and
Council hereby authorizes an expenditure of up to $260,000 for the stated work.
