A RESOLUTION APPROVING A TEMPORARY ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE
PERMIT FOR A FUND RAISING EVENT LOCATED WITHIN A LIMITED
COMMERCIAL ZONING DISTRICT AT 2120 SPEEDWAY, WICHITA FALLS,
ON FEBRUARY 28,1998; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING
AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the Senior - Junior Forum is planning a fund raising event on
February 28, 1998; and
WHEREAS, the Senior - Junior Forum has requested approval for a temporary
alcoholic beverage permit for this event at 2120 Speedway, Wichita Falls, Texas which
is located in a Limited Commercial zone; and
WHEREAS, The requirements of Section 5420, Subsection 5 of the Zoning
Ordinance of the City of Wichita Falls state that temporary alcoholic beverage sales in
zones other than GC, HC, HI, RDD, and CBD zones may be authorized subject to the
approval of City Council.
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that approving this permit would be
in the public interest.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. A temporary alcoholic beverage permit is hereby approved for
February 28, 1998, for the Senior - Junior Forum fund raising event, Slice of Texas
Toast, located at 2120 Speedway, Wichita Falls, Texas.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
