RESOLUTION APPROVING CONTRACT WITH THE TEXAS
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR AN URBAN MOBILITY
PROJECT DESCRIBED AS THE CALL FIELD RELIEVER PROJECT.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls desires to proceed with a Texas
Department of Transportation preliminary engineering study to examine the feasibility of
constructing a Call Field Reliever; and,
WHEREAS, the required City match for the preliminary engineering study is
$115,500.00; and,
WHEREAS, such funds were appropriated from equity on January 20, 1998 by
ordinance and are available to fund the study stipulated under this contract; and,
WHEREAS, after completion of the preliminary study by the Texas Department
of Transportation, the City Council will have a period of sixty days to review the study
and make a determination as to whether or not to proceed with the project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The attached contract with the Texas Department of Transportation for an urban
mobility project described as the Call Field Reliever Project is hereby approved and
Council authorizes an expenditure of $115,500.00 for the stated work.
