INITIATING DEPT: City Clerk
COMMENTARY:
The regular City election will be held on May 2, 1998 to elect a Mayor, Councilor
District 3, Councilor District 4, and Councilor District 5. The passage of this resolution will
call the election, name the election judges and the polling places.
In the same motion, it is also requested that the hourly pay for judges and clerks be
set at $6. Currently, the hourly pay is $5. Both the School District and the County Clerk
agree on the $6 hourly pay, which would be helpful in retaining experienced workers and
attract future workers.
Your approval is recommended.
