RESOLUTION APPROVING CONTRACT WITH THE TEXAS
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR AN URBAN MOBILITY
PROJECT DESCRIBED AS HAMPSTEAD LANE AT TAFT BLVD.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls desires to proceed with a Texas
Department of Transportation project to reconstruct and resignalize the intersection of
Hampstead and Taft; and,
WHEREAS, the required City match for the preliminary work is $316,280; and,
WHEREAS, such funds were budgeted in the 1997/98 Budget and are available
to fund the project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The attached contract with the Texas Department of Transportation for an Urban
Mobility Project is hereby approved and Council authorizes an expenditure of $316,280
for the preliminary work.
