RESOLUTION APPROVING CONTRACT WITH THE TEXAS
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR AN URBAN MOBILITY
PROJECT DESCRIBED AS KEMP BOULEVARD FROM CALL FIELD
ROAD TO KELL (U.S. 82)
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls desires to proceed with a Texas
Department of Transportation project to reconstruct Kemp Street between Call Field
Road and Kell (U.S. 82); and,
WHEREAS, the required City match for this work is $380,926; and,
WHEREAS, funds in the amount of $402,600 were budgeted in the FY97/98
fiscal year for this project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The attached contract with the Texas Department of Transportation for an Urban
Mobility Project described as Kemp Boulevard from Call Field Road to Kell (U.S. 82) is
hereby approved and Council authorizes an expenditure of $380,926 for the stated
work with the balance being encumbered to enable the project proceed across the
municipal fiscal year.
