A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DEED ON PROPERTY AT 3920 CIRCLE
DRIVE IN PAYMENT OF TAXES AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE THE DEED OF ACCEPTANCE; FINDING AND
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION
WAS DISCUSSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY
LAW.
WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 31.061 of the Texas Property Tax Code,
the taxing entities may accept property in lieu of payment of taxes; and,
WHEREAS, the heirs to the property at 3920 Circle Drive have requested that
the City take their house so that it can be used in the Urban Homestead Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. On behalf of the City of Wichita Falls, the Mayor is hereby
authorized to execute a deed in payment of taxes to accept the following described real
property:
Lot 86, Block 1, Nelson Stone Subdivision, a /k/a 3920 Circle Drive, Wichita
Falls.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
