RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE LIBRARY RENOVATION PROJECT
AND AUTHORIZING FINAL PAYMENT TO ELECTRA CONSTRUCTION
COMPANY, INC.
WHEREAS, on March 4, 1997, the City Council awarded a bid to Electra
Construction Company, Inc., for renovation of the Activities Center to be used as the
new library, and
WHEREAS, this project has been determined by the City's architect and City
staff to be complete as specified in the bid documents, and
WHEREAS, the actual cost of the project was $2,910,119.33, of which
$2,900,119.33 has been paid to the contractor leaving an unpaid balance of $10,000.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The library renovation project is hereby accepted as complete and the City
Manager is authorized to make final payment to the contractor.
