RESOLUTION NO.
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF REQUEST FOR
PROPOSALS FOR TRANSIT SHELTER AND BENCH ADVERTISING
SERVICES.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls Transit System desires to provide shelter
and bench facilities for patrons of the system, and
WHEREAS, current revenues from the transit system are not sufficient to cover
the cost of construction or maintenance of shelters and benches, and
WHEREAS, allowing a private third party to install shelters and benches at pre -
approved locations along the system's routes in exchange for permission to advertise
on same would not only save money, but would also provide additional revenue to the
system.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Manager is hereby authorized to issue Request For Proposals for the
purposes of transit shelter and bench advertising services.
