A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE DONATION OF TWO (2) VACANT
LOTS TO THE WICHIT FALLS ART, ENTERTAINMENT AND CULTURE
INC. / YOUTH OPORTUNITY CENTER; FINDING AND DETERMINING
THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED
WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, in accordance with Chapter 272.001 of the Texas Local Government
Code, the City of Wichita Falls may convey property, without the solicitation of bids, to
non - profit entities for economic development programs authorized by Title I of the
Housing and Community Development Act; and
WHEREAS, the Wichita Falls Art, Entertainment, and Culture Inc. / Youth
Opportunity Center (Y.O.C.) desires to construct two homes on the Eastside of Wichita
Falls in conjunction with HUD's Youthbuild Program, for the benefit of qualified low
income families.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City of Wichita Falls will donate two (2) vacant lots to the
Y.O.C. under the conditions set out in the attached letter of agreement.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
