RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO PURCHASE
COMPUTER EQUIPMENT THROUGH THE TEXAS COOPERATIVE
PURCHASING PROGRAM IN THE AMOUNT OF $60,800 FOR THE
HEALTH DEPARTMENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls Networking Plan includes the connection of
the Health Department to City Hall by Local Area Network (LAN); and
WHEREAS, the present network system is experiencing significant maintenance
problems and does not meet the City's current standards; and
WHEREAS, the implementation of a departmental LAN is essential to routine
activities within the Department; and
WHEREAS, the connection of the Health Department to a LAN is essential to
routine administrative interaction between the Department and City Hall.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Manager is hereby authorized to purchase computer equipment through
the Texas Cooperative Purchasing Program in the amount of $60,800 for the Health
Department Local Area Network.
