RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF SEVEN (7) EACH
AUTOMATED SIDE LOAD REFUSE COLLECTION BODIES, THROUGH
THE HOUSTON- GALVESTON AREA COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS
COOPERATIVE PURCHASING PROGRAM, FROM HEIL
ENVIRONMENTAL INDUSTRIES, LTD., IN THE AMOUNT OF
$404,123.65; DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls is a participant of the Houston - Galveston
Area Council of Government's Cooperative Purchasing Program; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to purchase seven automated side load refuse
bodies through this program, four of which are to be charged to the 1997 -98 fiscal year,
and three to be charged to the 1998 -99 fiscal year;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1: The City Manager is hereby authorized to purchase seven
automated side load refuse bodies through the Houston - Galveston Area Council of
Government's Cooperative Purchasing Program in the amount of $404,123.65
SECTION 2: It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law
PASSED AND APPROVED this the 15th day of September, 1998.
