RESOLUTION NAMING THE CIRCLE ON MARTIN BLVD MILDRED
WILKERSON STALEY CIRCLE; DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING
AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE
PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, a gift was received from Joe Staley for the landscape improvement
to the circle on Martin Blvd.; and
WHEREAS, the improvements were made in memory of Mr. Staley's mother,
Mildred Wilkerson Staley; and
WHEREAS, the Park Board recommends naming the circle Mildred Wilkerson
Staley Circle.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. That the circle on Martin Blvd. is hereby named the Mildred
Wilkerson Staley Circle.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law
PASSED AND APPROVED this the 15th day of September, 1998.
