RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A
PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT FOR ARCHITECTURAL
SERVICES WITH STALEY BAKER MONSON AND PHILLIPS SWAGER
ASSOCIATES FOR NEW FIRE STATIONS; DETERMINING THAT THE
MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN
TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the Fire Department has prepared a station consolidation plan which
will reduce the number of fire stations from nine to eight by closing four and building
three new stations; and
WHEREAS, the three new stations will enable the department to provide more
uniform coverage throughout the city ; and
WHEREAS, the 4B Sales Tax Board voted to recommend this project to the City
Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a professional
services agreement for architectural services with Staley Baker Monson and Phillips
Swager Associates for new fire stations.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law
