A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, APPOINTING SUBSTITUTE JUDGE OF THE
MUNICIPAL COURT FOR A TERM OF TWO YEARS; FINDING AND
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION
WAS DISCUSSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY
LAW.
WHEREAS, Mark Baker was appointed substitute judge of the Municipal Court,
for a two -year term expiring September 17, 1998; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Baker does not intend to seek reappointment; and,
WHEREAS, attorney Diane Dockery has expressed an interest in serving as a
substitute judge, to act in the place and stead of the Municipal Judge during any period
in which he is temporarily unable to act for any reason.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Council hereby consents to such appointment of Diane
Dockery as a substitute judge of the Municipal Court for a term of two years, beginning
July 21, 1998.
SECTION 2. It is officially found and determined that the meeting at which this
resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
