A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO PURCHASE
COMPUTER EQUIPMENT, COMPUTER SOFTWARE, AND RELATED
SERVICES OFF OF THE STATE COOPERATIVE SERVICES
PROGRAM; DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, in order to continue utilization of computers in the police department
after the year 2000, substantial computer replacement or upgrades are required to all
three of the current mid -size police computers; and
WHEREAS, the solution would be the replacement of the CAD computer and the
transfer of TLETS functions to the current CAD computer, in combination with needed
upgrades to the current CAD and Records computers; and
WHEREAS, Sequel Data Systems, Inc. has agreed to provide hardware,
software upgrades, and related services through the State Cooperative Services
Program for the amount of $57,318.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to execute a contract with Sequel
Data Systems, Inc. in the amount of $57,318.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law
