RESOLUTION APPROVING THE EXPENDITURE OF 4B SALES TAX
FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $12,000 FOR PURPOSES OF
IMPROVEMENTS TO ROTARY PARK; DETERMINING THAT THE
MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN
TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, on Monday, October 19, 1998 the 4B Sales Tax Board conducted a
public hearing to consider a request from the Rotary Clubs of Wichita Falls for
improvements to Rotary Park; and
WHEREAS, the requested amount is $12,000 which will be used in conjunction
with approximately $8,700 in funds previously donated by the Rotary Clubs to the City
of Wichita Falls and maintained in a special revenue account for improvements to
Rotary Park; and
WHEREAS, the intended use of the funds is to construct a metal structure picnic
shelter and related amenities such as picnic tables if funds permit; and
WHEREAS, the 4B Sales Tax Board voted unanimously to recommend the
project to the City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The expenditure of $12,000 in 4B Sales Tax funds is hereby
approved for improvements to Rotary Park.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law
