RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT THE ALLRED PRISON (TDCJ) HIGH
SECURITY FACILITY ADDITION SEWER EXTENSION PROJECT AND
AUTHORIZE FINAL PAYMENT TO JALYN CONSTRUCTION;
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION
WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls entered a lump sum price contract with
Jalyn Construction with an estimated total cost of $99,030.00; and
WHEREAS, the actual work was completed at a total cost of $99,030.00 of which
$94,078.50 has been previously paid to the contractor, leaving an amount due of
$4,951.50; and
WHEREAS, the City staff has inspected the work and found it be acceptable.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The Allred Prison (TDCJ) High Security Facility Addition Sewer
Extension Project is hereby accepted, and the City Manager is authorized to make final
payment to the contractor.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law
PASSED AND APPROVED this the 1st day of December, 1998.
