RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT THE LANDFILL LINER CELL NO. 13 AND
FINAL COVER CELL NO. 11 PROJECT AND AUTHORIZE FINAL
PAYMENT TO BEAVERS CONSTRUCTION COMPANY; DETERMINING
THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED
WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls entered a unit price contract with Beavers
Construction Company with the estimated total cost of $1,116,025.75; and
WHEREAS, the actual work was completed at a total cost of $1,192,848.42
which $1,168,991.45 has been previously paid to the contractor, leaving an amount
due of $23,856.97; and
WHEREAS, the City staff has inspected the work and found it to be acceptable.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The Landfill Liner Cell No. 13 and Final Cover Cell No. 11 Sanitary
Landfill Project is hereby accepted, and the City Manager is authorized to make final
payment to the contractor.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law
PASSED AND APPROVED this the 3rd day of November, 1998.
