RESOLUTION APPROVING AN ADVANCE FUNDING AGREEMENT
FOR AN URBAN STREET PROJECT ON BARNETT ROAD BETWEEN
ATHLETIC ROAD AND LAKE SHORE DRIVE; DETERMINING THAT
THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS
OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls desires to improve Barnett Road between
Athletic Road and Lake Shore Drive; and
WHEREAS, funds are available through the Texas Department of Transportation
under an Urban Street Program to facilitate reconstruction of Barnett Road; and
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls desires to enter into a contract with the
Texas Department of Transportation to reconstruct Barnett Road between Athletic
Road and Lake Shore Drive.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The attached funding agreement for an Urban Street Project on
Barnett Road between Athletic Road and Lake Shore Drive is hereby approved and the
budgeted amount of $400,000 is to be encumbered.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law
PASSED AND APPROVED this the 20th day of October, 1998.
