RESOLUTION AWARDING A BID TO COURT SPECIALISTS,
INCORPORATED FOR COMPUTER SOFTWARE AND RELATED
SERVICES FOR THE MUNICIPAL COURT AND AUTHORIZING THE
PURCHASE OF COMPUTER EQUIPMENT THROUGH THE TEXAS
COOPERATIVE PURCHASING PROGRAM; DETERMINING THAT THE
MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN
TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, it is necessary to replace the Municipal Court Computer System with
more current technology; and
WHEREAS, requests for proposals were sent to qualified software vendors; and
WHEREAS, the proposal submitted by Court Specialists, Incorporated has been
evaluated by a staff committee and has been determined to meet the needs of the City;
and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to purchase twenty -three computer workstations as
part of this computer system; and
WHEREAS, it is recommended that these workstations be purchased through
the Texas Cooperative Purchasing Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Court Specialists, Incorporated is hereby awarded a bid for
municipal court software and related services in the amount of $123,345.
SECTION 2. The City staff is hereby authorized to purchase twenty -three
workstations through the State Cooperative Purchasing Program for this project at an
estimated cost of $32,000. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting
at which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law
