Res 065-99 7/6/1999RESOLUTION NO. J-G RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A QUITCLAIM DEED FOR THE SALE OF THE PROPERTY AT 507 HUMPHREYS; DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW. WHEREAS, a certain judgment and decree of sale were rendered by the District Court of Wichita County in Cause No. 39,291 -A, the City of Wichita Falls et al vs Cecil Gary Thompson et al, in the matter of delinquent taxes; and WHEREAS, at the June 1, 1999 Sheriffs sale, the property at 507 Humphreys, Wichita Falls, Texas was struck off to the City of Wichita Falls; and WHEREAS, Martha Irvin, the lienholder of the property, desires to pay the taxes and court costs in the amount of $6,440.03 to purchase the property. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT: SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a quitclaim deed which will convey the property described as Lot 7, Block 7, Bateson Addition, a /k/a 507 Humphreys, Wichita Falls, Texas to Ms. Martha Irvin, 1634 Harding Street, Wichita Falls, Texas upon the payment in full of the taxes and court costs. SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
