RESOLUTION CONCERNING THE JOINT APPOINTMENT OF A
REPRESENTATIVE TO THE NORTEX 911 COMMUNICATIONS
DISTRICT BOARD OF MANAGERS BY PARTICIPATING
MUNICIPALITIES.; DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH
THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, The Nortex 911 Communications District Board of Managers is
governed by the Texas Health and Safety Code, Title 9, Chapter 772, Subchapter D.
The Board consists of seven members whose appointments are governed by statute;
and
WHEREAS, Mr. Don Kirkham's term as a representative of the parti:,ipating
municipalities expires on May 15, 1999.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Council hereby supports the re- appointment of Don
Kirkham to the Nortex 911 Communications District Board of Managers for the term
expiring May 15, 2001.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
