RESOLUTION TO AWARD BID FOR GRAZING LEASE AT LAKE
KICKAPOO TO LES WACHSMAN FOR THE SOUTHSIDE LEASE;
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION
WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City has certain properties surrounding Lake Kickapoo which
historically have been leased to the highest bidder for grazing purposes; and
WHEREAS, the current lease on the southside of Lake Kickapoo will expire on
April 30,1999; and
WHEREAS, the City advertised for bids for new leases on the southside of Lake
Kickapoo; and
WHEREAS, the Council has determined the highest bidder for the southside
lease to Les Wachsman.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Les Wachsman is hereby awarded the lease for the southside of
Lake Kickapoo, a total of 1,424.39 acres at an amount of $12.50 per acre /per year, an
annual amount of $14,315.12. The City Manager is authorized to execute a lease with
Les Wachsman for purposes stated.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
